Lead status (approve / trash / hold)

The state a lead holds after delivery — accepted, rejected, or pending reconciliation — which determines whether it is billable.

After a lead is delivered, the advertiser reports a status that lead-side systems bucket into clear states: approve (accepted and billable), trash (rejected as invalid or junk), and hold (pending until reconciled). Advertisers often return many raw sub-statuses, which are mapped onto these buckets.

Status is not final at delivery: a lead can move from hold to approve or trash over hours or days as the advertiser processes it, so the record's state is tracked over time rather than captured once.

Holds keep a conversion in the ledger until it settles, so payouts reconcile cleanly and a source postback fires only on genuine approvals.
